Palisade is well know for it's rich vineyards that produce some of the best wine found anywhere.  Other local products include award winning peaches and other fruit and vegtibles.  Also know for festivals such as Wine Fest, the Peach Fesitval, and bicycling events Palisade draws visitors from all over the world.

Local Government:

Town of Palisade (from site) - Palisade, Colorado, which is often called the "Heart of Colorado's Fruit and Wine Country," is world famous for its peaches. It also hosts 75% of the state's premium wine grape vineyards. Situated at the base of the Grand Mesa on the Colorado River, Palisade is in the center of outdoor activities in Western Colorado.
